These Early American rugs are made from a wool blended "tape" for long term durability. Tape braided rugs are constructed by first weaving yarn into a flat woven cloth. This cloth is then folded and braided into durable wide braided styles. Choose one of the styles shown or change an accent color to more closely coordinate with your decor (call to order). For a simpler look, choose one band and we'll make the entire rug from that color combination (call to order)

accessories: Stair treads and chair pads are made from one color band (braid) of the rug. Accessories are too small to make a pattern in (like we do in the larger rug) therefore they will are made in just 1 color combination. Please call to order. Stair treads are usually sold in sets of 13. You may purchase more or less, just call us for specific pricing.
*** STAIR TREAD INSTALLATION *** Safely installing stair treads requires both the use of rug padding and carpet tacks. It is the combination of carpet tacks securely anchoring the tread to the stair and the rug padding stopping the tread from slipping and pulling against the carpet tacks that makes your stairs safe. We do send along a diagram and detailed instruction sheet with your receipt to make installation simple.
